PIA air hostess leaves for Toronto without passport
KARACHI: In an unusual development, an air hostess working for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was fined on Friday (March 15) for flying from Islamabad to Toronto without a passport. It came out on Sunday.
Sources associated with the national carrier said the stewardess forgot to keep her passport on Toronto-bound flight PK-781 and had to board the plane on General Declaration documents.
As a result, Canadian authorities fined him $200 for negligence and landing in Toronto without a passport.
Reacting to the issue, PIA confirmed the incident and the issue of fines on air hostesses.
According to a spokesman for the national flag carrier, she had left her passport at the Karachi airport.

However, he denied the news of the said air hostesses staying in Canada and seeking political asylum, saying that they are returning to Pakistan through flight PK-782.
